Chartered in 2009, this group of motorcoach owners is centered around University of South Carolina sports. We support Gamecock athletic teams to home and away events. We meet informally each weekend during football season at the home games, and normally for one or more away games, as well as bowl games. Additionally, we will also meet once or twice during baseball season in the spring for home games. A few of our members have even traveled out to Omaha, Nebraska, in their coaches to cheer on the Gamecocks in the College World Series! Our membership is primarily made up of folks from the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida, but we also have members from as far away as Texas that are part of our group. We enjoy good old fashioned fun, food, and camaraderie, and obviously the South Carolina Gamecocks! Annual dues are $10.00, and we are accepting new members. Additionally, please visit our website at www.gamecockcruisers.com for more information on our group.

DESCRIPTION
The Georgia Mountaineers is a motorhome only chapter of mostly retired folks who like to camp, enjoy the fellowship of chapter members, and get away from the everyday activities of home. We were chatered in 1993 and operate mainly in the north Georgia area, but also range into Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, and North and South Carolinas. Most of our members live in the north Georgia area from Calhoun, Ellijay, and Clayton, and down from Buchannan to Augusta to St. Simons, plus we have some members who live in the surrounding states. We rally for about four days at the end of the third week of the month, normally Wednesday to Sunday morning. We have around forty families in our group with usual attendance at our rallies, ranging from 12-20 coaches. Our rally activities include telling tall tales, eating out, shopping, antiquing, sightseeing, and playing games (mainly Fast Track and hand and Food) in the evening. We also have a few who enjoy sitting around the campfire after dinner (even in the summer months). Our rally agenda may include a cookout or pot luck supper, and it usually has open periods so you may wander off at your own leisure to investigate the area. Since most of our rallies are in the north Georgia area, we get to enjoy spring time in the mountains. Our summer rallies are often much cooler than other places in the south and our October autumn rally is usually at the height of leaf peeping season. There is nothing more beautiful than the color of autumn leaves in the Smokies. Come visit with us and join in the fun!

When the Peach State Travelers get together for a rally everything is “just peachy!” The PST motor home rallies are usually held the first full weekend of each month. Our December rally includes a holiday luncheon for those who can’t spend the entire weekend. We hold rallies within the state of Georgia and in closer areas of Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee. We try to keep most rallies within 150 miles of Atlanta, but we do make exceptions for special events. We plan many different types of activities during our rallies. Some rallies are busy times with trips to scenic, historical and educational sites. Some Peach State Travelers rallies are laid back with games and just sittin’ back and jawin’ with fellow members. The rally hosts decide what activities we participate in as a group. One thing we always do at rallies is EAT! There are many fantastic cooks in our chapter so potlucks are always a delight. We also like to try the restaurants in an area. Any Peach State Traveler can tell you where all the good restaurants are! We were formed in April 1992 in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Our chapter is relatively small. We enjoy being small because we can get to know everyone well, but we definitely are looking for new members! We come from varied backgrounds and vary in age and interests. Many of us are retired, but we have a number of members who are still part-time or full-time employed. Our rally locations and activities take that into account. Our rallies begin on Friday afternoon and end on Sunday morning. Some of us “early birds” like to start on Thursday. We would like for you to come visit one of our rallies soon. We want you to get to know the members of the PST Chapter and experience some of the variety of activities the hosts plan for the rallies. You may visit more than once and your visits don’t have to be back-to-back.
